From naming to branding, through packaging design and guidelines, Fisher Design helped Valspar‘s USC division reintroduce their DIY spray-on bed and body liner to the category. Though the clear technical superiority of the product was an advantage, the DIY nature of the application was intimidating, resulting in a lack of sales. So we created a clean, contemporary brand with a distinct look, tone, and feel and a simplified wayfinding and communication system. The brand would go on to exceed their business goals and credited, in large part, the design that gave DIY’ers the confidence to undertake the upgrade themselves.
