Graphic Designer

Since you are on our website you can review various information about our company. However, here are a few key points:

  • Fisher Design is a Cincinnati based company with a 49 year history providing brand identity and package design solutions for top of mind brands.  Some of our past and present clients include Wal-Mart, Colgate, Dial, Butterball, Miracle-Gro, Ajax, Black & Decker, Bayer Corporation, Del Monte, GE, Breyers, Hasbro, Kraft Foods, Proctor & Gamble, Ralston Purina, Sony, Campbell’s Soup, Sara Lee, Clorox, Home Depot, Kroger, Tyson Foods, and others. Our average client has been with us for ten years or longer.

  • Consumers have paid over $100 Billion on brands that we have handled.  Most households in America today have at least one brand or package that Fisher Design was involved with on strategy, design, and the implementation.

  • We are proud that our average client has been with us for ten years or longer.

  • What’s it like to work here? Well, our employees are happy and they like their fellow workers – plus we all enjoy creating an environment where people love coming to work. Our teams are passionate about the work we do and we work together to provide outstanding creative results that we are proud of everyday.

Here are some points for you to consider relative to this position.

  • Design talent, intelligence, relationship skills, and work ethic are more important than experience or education to our team. The position requires someone with 5 solid years in brand package design, but pure design skill, intelligence, and a great attitude are enough to be considered.

  • In short, we are looking for a truly talented person that has a great attitude as well as someone that can interact with our household name clients on a daily basis. Additionally, being able to interact with fellow employees to get the job done is of huge importance as well.  Your primary focus will be to create new design concepts and brand package systems for our clients. That could include new brands as well as rebranding well known existing products.

  • You will partner with Account Executives and the Production Managers on a range of engaging projects. This will involve ensuring that we get the design work done right the first time as our reputation will always be at stake.

  • All of our designers use state of the art Macintosh computers.

If you like the concept of being part of a team, this would be an ideal position for you, as effective teamwork is the key to our success with our clients.

Here are some other areas where your skill sets will help you compete against the other candidates for this position.

  • Your level of understanding of strategic design and branding principles.
  • Your understanding of print processes such as gravure, flexography, and offset lithography.

  • Your level of knowledge of basic digital artwork development and pre-press fundamentals to help effectively transition work to our production staff.

  • Your ability to communicate your ideas and solutions clearly to your team and the client.
